Recent Tea for Tearfund fundraiser

The last couple of weeks have been such a whirlwind of amazing bakes and time spent with friends. The flat is down three people, so it is super quiet. Pamela is off to Thailand having a ball feeding elephants, Jennifer is doing her part on a placement in Ayr, and Caroline left to go home. That leaves Sophie (who is mostly at work), Sixian and I to amuse ourselves. I must say, it has been peaceful ;) hehe

So ~ drum roll please ~ the Tea for Tearfund fundraiser raised £150 with £37.50 in Gift Aid!!!!!! We are super duper thankful to all those people who gave to help people who are less fortunate than them to be given the basic human need to eat and live.

Here is a video from the day:

I made a mistake of the money that we raised in the video!! It is meant to be £187.50

I will post about all the amazing bakes we have done so far very soon!!

Till next time,

Tea for Tearfund updates

This FRIDAY The Baking Students will be having their second fundraiser!!! I am so excited to bake for it, and to see how much money will be raised for children and families living in poverty.

Just 5 pounds will help to train 6 families to farm and feed themselves throughout their life in drought climates. 5 pounds is not a lot at all, the equivalent of a cake and tea, but it saves 6 whole families from dying in poverty!! Click for more information.

If you can't make it along this Friday, please donate 5 pounds to train 6 families to provide for themselves, or/and then come along to our next fundraiser in September :D

See you soon!!
